Cowboys LB Sean Lee: Surgically-repaired knee responding really well
OXNARD, Calif. -- Sean Lee is with his teammates at training camp because he's trying to stay positive. Being around the guys is helping him get through his season-ending knee injury.
"When you disconnect, it's hard to stay positive," Lee said Tuesday. "Just staying around the guys and going through the process not only is going to give me another year of football mentally, it's also helping me stay positive."
The Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker tore the ACL in his left knee during the first practice of organized team activities in May.
"From a rehab standpoint, I'm feeling great," Lee said. "My knee is responding really well."

Lee, who has been at team meetings, has not been on the field during practice because he wouldn't be able to move out of the way if needed. The 28-year-old says he should be able to start running in five weeks.
Lee has battled several injuries throughout his career. While at Penn State, Lee tore his right ACL in 2008 and partially tore his left ACL in 2009. Since being drafted by the Cowboys, Lee has missed time because of neck, toe, wrist and hamstring injuries.
"Obviously there's a ton of frustration with being injured again," Lee said. "It's been the story of my career, having to deal with injuries. That's frustrating.
"I think I'll come back completely healthy. Now, the question is: Can I stay out there? That's obviously something that I'm hopeful for and I'm going to do everything I can to do that."
