SWIFT CURRENT, Saskatchewan (AP) Convicted sex offender Graham James has been sentenced to two more years in prison after admitting he sexually assaulted a former junior hockey player he coached.

A Saskatchewan judge said Friday James' acts were awful and damaging.

Justice Tim Keene added that the victim, now 43, should hold his head high and get on with his life.

James appeared via closed-circuit TV in a Saskatchewan courtroom Friday.

The government and the defense presented a joint request that two years be added onto the five-year sentence he is almost finished serving on other charges. It is the third time James has faced sex charges involving players he coached.

Two of those players, Todd Holt and Sheldon Kennedy, were in the courtroom to support the latest accuser.

The new charges were laid last month after allegations of repeated sexual assault on a player with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League.
