Comment of the day comes from user 'V B'
We recently featured a story written by Kevin Goheen about Andrew Donnellon, an 18-year-old freshman kicker on the Bluffton University football team who was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a rare congenital heart defect.
Once again we have received great feedback including personal stories about loved ones who overcame similar obstacles.
This comment by V B was especially touching because of the connection to their son...
"omg, this gave me chills! my 18yr old son was born with TOF and just started football last year, as a kicker! but, he also learned how to play corner and loves it. at only 5'6 150 lbs, his nickname is Torpedo, for the awesome hits he does. its amazing how he can take down kids that are so much bigger! Way to go Andrew! keep following your dream, you can do it! just as many of our kids are finding out and now we can educate the rest of the sporting world that our kids CAN play, with just a little bit of extra rest when they need it. Thank you for sharing your story. you are meant for great things!"
V B your son sounds like a great young man, and we wish him continued success with his football career. He is truly an inspiration!
