'Comment of the Day' comes from Dave Shahan

Urban Meyer deflected most of the BCS talk at his weekly press conference Monday, but he did allow a moment to share his feeling that college football's national champion is determined by a flawed system.

That, not surprisingly, created headlines throughout the sport, and it brought out some comments among our readers.

Our "Comment of the Day" comes from Dave Shahan, who pointed out the perceptions of the SEC and the Big Ten might be flawed, too.

Alabama played Georgia State and nobody is saying anything about that. That school just started playing football. Missouri and Texas A&M moved to the SEC and started cleaning house. Every major conference has its dogs for football programs. The SEC is way over hyped and the Big Ten gets slighted by the media. The SEC probably talked Vandy into not playing the Buckeyes or they risk losing face in the conference. By the way Vandy beat the vaunted Georgia Bulldogs so they must be able to play football a little bit.
