Clippers star Blake Griffin on latest cover of GQ
Blake Griffin's star power is rising. The latest evidence is his cover for GQ's October issue.
Griffin tweeted a link to his cover of GQ on Tuesday with this note: "GQ. October. Out now. Go pick it up. Or don't. I'm not gonna force anybody."
The Clippers star is wearing a blue suede blazer with a Clippers No. 32 jersey and matching blue pants. GQ entitled it a special issue on "How to look great @ any age."
Griffin is 25. Also featured in the issue is Clive Owen, Tom Selleck, Chadwick Boseman and others.
Griffin has had plenty of endorsement deals since he became the first overall pick by the Clippers in 2009. He has deals with Kia, Nike, Vizio and Subway to name a few -- but his crossover prowess is on display with this latest cover. According to a Forbes report from earlier this year, Griffin earned $6 million in off-court endorsements in 2013. That was ninth-most of all money from endorsement deals in the NBA. Teammate Chris Paul was No. 10 on that list.
In the GQ issue, there was a lot in the Q&A with Griffin about the Donald Sterling scandal in addition to his one-year-old son, how he manages to get under opposing players' skin, Oklahoma City fans, his love for comedy and more.
Last week, Griffin made an appearance at the Laugh Factory where he read three poems that were also rolled out in a Vizio Youtube ad campaign. They were well-received. Griffin has done some improv work and looks over scripts sent by his friend Neal Brennan.

The GQ cover is just another in Griffin's off-court endeavors.
Asked in the GQ article about his post-basketball plans, Griffin said: "I wonder what I really want to do. I would love to go intern at a production company and just kind of see the ins and outs of it. Because I'm one of those people, I don't know that I'm really going to like something until I really dive into it."
