Clemons a no-show for the start of Jaguars training camp

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Chris Clemons is a no-show for training camp.

Coach Gus Bradley says Clemons is dealing with "personal things" that could keep him off the field for the opening training camp practice Friday.

Bradley says "we'll see how it goes. Hopefully we come up with a decision to speed this up a little bit quicker. I don't foresee this as a situation where it's extended."

The 33-year-old Clemons is a 12-year veteran with 244 tackles and 66 sacks. He had eight sacks last year, but three of those came in one quarter against Indianapolis. He had one sack and seven tackles in his final five games.

The Jaguars drafted Dante Fowler Jr. to replace Clemons, but Fowler tore a knee ligament in his first practice and is out for the season.
