Cincinnati-East Carolina football moved up two days

Cincinnati's unique 2014 football schedule received another twist this week when its AAC game with East Carolina was moved from a Saturday to a Thursday night.

The Bearcats and Pirates will play at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 in a game to be broadcast by ESPN2. That is two days before the contest was originally planned, and it will be one of four non-Saturday games for the Bearcats, who are off the first two weeks of the regular season before opening on a Friday (Sept. 12) at home against Toledo. UC will also play Friday night games against South Florida (Oct. 24) and at Tulane (Oct. 31).

With an open week scheduled for early November, Cincinnati will not play any Saturday games between an Oct. 18 trip to SMU and a Nov. 22 game at Connecticut.

Like every UC home game this season, the contest against the Pirates will be held at Paul Brown Stadium in downtown Cincinnati as Nippert Stadium undergoes renovation.
