CIF-SS stars receive jerseys for U.S. Army All-American Bowl
Southern California is one of the most talent-rich areas of high school football in the entire country.
And, for several local CIF-SS stars, their hard work has paid off.
On Tuesday, Travis Waller (QB Servite), Brady White (QB Hart), Sam Darnold (QB San Clemente) and others received their jerseys for U.S. Army All-American Bowl, considered to be the nation's premier high school All-American game.
The game takes place on Saturday, Jan. 3 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
Area players taking part in the All-American Bowl are: Waller, Hart, Darnold, Trent Irwin (WR, Hart), Rasheem Green (DL, Serra), Ben Humphreys (LB, Mater Dei), Blake Johnson (P, Los Alamitos), Keisean Lucier-South (DL, Orange Lutheran), Stanley Norman (DB, Serra), Zach Okun (OL, Newbury Park), Christian Rector (DL, Loyola), Kevin Robledo (PK, Westlake), Marvell Tell (DB, Crespi), Ricky Town (QB, St. Bonaventure), and Joseph Wicker (DL, Long Beach Poly).
The CIF-SS playoffs on FOX Sports West and Prep Zone continue this Friday with quarterfinal action starting at 7 p.m.
