Chris Paul buying star's $8.5 million Bel-Air home?
There will soon be a new Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in town. Clippers point guard Chris Paul is reportedly buying Avril Lavigne's Bel-Air mansion for $8.5 million.
TMZ is reporting that Paul plans to purchase the 12,184 square-foot abode, which includes eight bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms, a wine cellar, 10-car garage, gym, sauna and a covered outdoor living room.
Paul, a four-time all star, was acquired by the Clippers from New Orleans on Dec. 14 in exchange for Al-Farouq Aminu, Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman and a 2012 first-round draft pick.
In a video interview with The Los Angeles Times, Paul called the off-season a "whirlwind."
"It has definitely been an emotional roller-coaster, but they say that after the storm a rainbow comes out and I think this is it," Paul said.
Fodder for Lavigne's next single?
Paul is averaging 18 points and 8.4 assists this season but is currently listed as day-to-day after sustaining a strained left hamstring in a 102-94 win against the Lakers on Jan. 14.
