When Kyle Field unveils its ongoing renovations Saturday for Texas A&M's home opener against Lamar, a menu item may steal the show from the high-scoring Aggies.

And because we're in Texas, that menu item is chicken fried. And on a stick.

The chicken-fried steak dog may be a big attraction literally and figuratively, as it's a hand-battered chicken fried foot-long dog that's served on a stick. It's been dubbed the Howdy Dog, and there's also dipping jalapeno-cream gravy that goes along with it.

The hot dog was the creation of Levy Restaurants, which is working at Kyle Field for the first time. The item was the creation of chef David Picou and his team.
