Chargers right guard D.J. Fluker said his most recent concussion was the scariest of the four he has had in his three NFL seasons.

Fluker was injured late in a 33-3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 22 and missed the next two games.

He returned to practice on Wednesday as the Chargers (3-9) prepared for Sunday's game at Kansas City (7-5).

Fluker described the tingling from the concussion as like "a fire sensation, my whole body. It felt weird."

"It was kind of hot, going in and out of focus, a little bit of dizziness. After that it was like, I've got to chill out," he said. "I love football, man, I can play through any injury, hurt or whatever, but killing my brain is a whole different subject."

Fluker had suffered a concussion the Wednesday before the KC game. He didn't practice the following two days but was cleared to play.

Also Wednesday, Vincent Brown joined the team after signing on Tuesday. With injuries hitting the wide receiving corps, he could see significant time Sunday.

Brown, who played at San Diego State, was with the Chargers in 2011 and '13, and with the Oakland Raiders in 2014.

"It feels like I woke up from a long nightmare," he said.
