Cincinnati announced Friday the decision of redshirt freshman center Jamaree Strickland to transfer out of the Bearcats program.

"We wish Jamaree the best going forward," head coach Mick Cronin said via a statement.

A California native, the 6-10 Strickland sat out last season after spending his final prep season at Queen City Prep Academy in Harrisburg, N.C. He played one game this season.

Cronin's Bearcats are 6-1 on the season and have not played since a 78-52 win over Stony Brook on Dec. 2. They return to action Saturday night at Nebraska and return home for a game Dec. 17 against San Diego State.
