Catch Baron Davis' 'The Drew: No Excuse, Just Produce' at LA Film Festival

Los Angeles is near and dear to Baron Davis' heart.
Davis, an L.A. native who attended Crossroads School in Santa Monica, played at UCLA (1997-99) and spent time with the Clippers (2008-11), can now call himself a documentary director.
In 'The Drew: No Excuse, Just Produce', Davis co-directs a film on the popular Drew League, a summer basketball competition featuring professional and amateur hoops talent.

The documentary can be seen at the seen at the LA Film Festival beginning June 13.
The Drew League, which started at Charles Drew Jr. High School in South L.A. in 1973, has at times has featured top NBA talent like Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, James Harden and Davis himself, especially during the NBA strike in 2011.
The 45th season of the Drew League kicks off on May 16.
