UPDATE 11:31AM - Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch is reporting that Carlos Hyde has been dismissed from the team.
Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde has been reportedly named as a "person of interest" in an assault at a Columbus bar over the weekend.
Ohio State will issue a full statement regarding the incident later this afternoon, but have already stated that an "unnamed player" has been suspended from the team pending the outcome of an investigation. No charges have been filed yet, but the Buckeyes reportedly held a team meeting in which Hyde was not present.

For the background to the story behind this weekend's incident, check out prominent Ohio State blog "Men Of The Scarlet And Gray", which originally broke the news. The discussion on what took place and the ethics behind breaking the story are quite compelling.
