ST. LOUIS – Acknowledging that today is a “big game” with the next three in Washington, Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said the players are listening to music, watching TV and treating it as just another day.

So Matheny will stick with the same lineup.

A day after a two-strike, two-out hit in the seventh inning proved to be the difference in a 3-2 loss to the Washington Nationals in Game 1, the Cardinals will send the same group back to the field to try and get a much needed win in Game 2.

The Cardinals lineup for this afternoon’s 3:37 PM CT start from Busch Stadium:

Jon Jay, CF
Carlos Beltran, RF
Matt Holliday, LF
Allen Craig, 1B
Yadier Molina, C
David Freese, 3B
Dan Descalso, 2B
Pete Kozma, SS
Jaime Garcia, P

Nationals lineup:

Jayson Werth, RF
Bryce Harper, CF
Ryan Zimmerman, 3B
Adam LaRoche, 1B
Michael Morse, LF
Ian Desmond, SS
Danny Espinoza, 2B
Kurt Suzuki, C
Jordan, Zimmermann

The first 42,000 fans entering Busch Stadium today will receive a free rally towel.
