'Cardinals Spring Tailgate' to air live on FOX Sports Arizona
TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals will kick off the first night of the Big Red Rib & Music Festival at University of Phoenix Stadium with a live television special from the Great Lawn on Thursday, April 24.
FOX Sports Arizona will air "Cardinals Spring Tailgate" from 7 to 8 p.m. with fans serving as the live studio audience. The show will replay that night at 10:30 p.m. and air again numerous times leading up to the NFL Draft of May 8.
The event is free, and gates open at 5 p.m.
Hosts Paul Calvisi and Ron Wolfley will recap the offseason so far in addition to looking ahead to the draft, training camp and 2014 season. Joining them throughout the show will be team president Michael Bidwill, general manager Steve Keim and head coach Bruce Arians. Also appearing on the program will be safety Tyrann Mathieu and new left tackle Jared Veldheer.
The show will include questions from the fans in attendance as well as others submitted through the teamâs @AZCardinals Twitter account using the hashtag #CardsTailgate.
Immediately before and after "Cardinals Spring Tailgate," at 6:30 and 8 p.m., FOX Sports Arizona will air a 30-minute special program: "All Out or Get Out: the Making of the 2014 Cardinals Cheerleaders."
In addition to being part of the live TV special, fans attending "Cardinals Spring Tailgate" will be treated to a performance from Cardinals cheerleaders at 6:30 p.m. The Big Red Rib & Music Festival features award-winning rib masters from around the country, a Kid's Interactive Zone along with amusement rides and carnival games for kids of all ages. The 7-foot 2-inch tall FOX Sports robot "Cleatus" will be on hand for photos for with fans.
Free parking will be available in the West (Orange) carpark at University of Phoenix Stadium.
