Cardinals sign pair of draft picks to 4-year contracts

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals have signed fifth-round draft choices Shaq Riddick and J.J. Nelson to four-year contracts.
Riddick, the 158th overall selection, is a 6-foot-6, 260-pound linebacker who finished his college career at West Virginia in 2014 after playing three seasons at Gardner-Webb. He had seven sacks and 11 tackles for loss and was name Big 12 Newcomer of the Year in his only season at West Virginia.
Nelson, the 159th overall selection, is a 5-10, 160-pound wide receiver out of Alabama-Birmingham who led the nation by returning four kickoffs for touchdowns while averaging 38.3 yards per return. He was the fastest player at the NFL Scouting Combine, running the 40-yard sash in 4.28 seconds.
