Canseco's fiancee breaks off engagement amid ugly accusations

Jose Canseco's soap opera life continues to spin sad headlines.

The former slugger's fiancee Leila Knight told TMZ Sports that she's walking out on Canseco and breaking off their engagement. Canseco also confirmed the breakup via Twitter early Monday morning.

If there is any truth to Knight's tweet about "what happened," it sure doesn't look good for Canseco.

Canseco's latest misfortune is part of an eventful month for the former slugger. In late October, he accidentally shot himself in the hand, and a few weeks later he lied about the reattached finger falling off during a poker game.

Canseco and Knight had been engaged since 2013.
