PHOENIX (AP) -- Injuries suddenly are coming in bunches for the Milwaukee Brewers.
Aramis Ramirez doubled for his first hit of the spring Saturday but left the Brewers' 4-3 victory over the Angels with a strained left knee.
Ramirez snapped an 0-for-10 start with a bloop double down the left-field line in the third inning. After time was called, he stepped off the bag and was met by the team trainer before walking slowly back to the dugout. He will be re-evaluated on Sunday and is day to day.
It was the third significant piece of injury news for Milwaukee on Saturday. Right-hander Yovani Gallardo was scratched from his scheduled start Sunday with tightness in his groin, and left fielder Ryan Braun was out of the lineup with a bruised left knee.
PADRES 11, REDS 8
GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) -- Logan Forsythe had two triples in a seven-run third inning as the San Diego Padres rallied to beat the Cleveland Indians 11-8 on Sunday after starter Edinson Volquez was pounded for six runs in the first.
Forsythe led off the third with a triple off Ubaldo Jimenez. He hit a two-run triple with two outs off Edward Parades.
Volquez gave up six runs and six hits in the first, including a three-run homer by Ryan Raburn. He allowed eight hits overall in two innings.
The Padres scored the go-ahead run in the sixth on a RBI single from Jaff Decker.
GIANTS 9, CUBS 7
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Pablo Sandoval hit a towering home run, the only blemish for Carlos Villanueva on Sunday, and the San Francisco Giants beat the Chicago Cubs 9-7.
Gregor Blanco drove in two runs for the Giants, who are losing eight players to the World Baseball Classic after this weekend.
Villanueva, a candidate for the Cubs starting rotation, gave up one run on four hits over three innings. He walked one and struck out two.
Yusmeiro Petit gave the Giants a nice outing in place of Tim Lincecum, who was scratched because of a blister on his right middle finger. Petit gave up a hit in three innings with one strikeout.
Steve Clevenger had two hits and drove in two runs and Dioner Navarro added two RBIs for the Cubs.
ROYALS 9, GIANTS 5
SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) -- Eric Hosmer went 3 for 3 with a home run and two doubles, Mike Moustakas hit a two-run shot and the Kansas City Royals beat a San Francisco Giants split squad 9-5 on Saturday.
The Royals remained the only undefeated team in spring training with an 8-0-1 record. The Giants fielded a team of mostly minor leaguers and non-roster invitees.
Jeremy Guthrie, who re-signed with the Royals in the offseason for $25 million over three years, made his first Cactus League start. He gave up two runs and four hits in two innings.
Brandon Belt, the only Giants player in the lineup who started for the 2012 World Series champions, went 4 for 5 with a home run to raise his batting average to .526.
Gary Brown hit a two-run homer in the seventh and Bret Bochy, the son of Giants manager Bruce Bochy, pitched a scoreless inning.
RANGERS 7, DIAMONDBACKS 1
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Matt Harrison bounced back from a rough first outing to throw three scoreless innings and the Texas Rangers went on to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-1 on Saturday.
The left-hander, an 18-game winner last season, allowed three hits in three scoreless innings. In his first start last Sunday, Harrison threw 40 pitches in one inning, allowing four runs on six hits against Kansas City.
Lefty Wade Miley made his first spring start for Arizona, giving up three runs on three hits in two innings, including a solo home run by Craig Gentry.
A sellout crowd of 12,654 watched the game at Salt River Fields, home of the Diamondbacks.
MARINERS 9, DODGERS 5
PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) -- Franklin Gutierrez hit yet another home run for the Mariners in a 9-5 victory over the Dodgers on Sunday, their eighth straight win.
Catcher Mike Zunino also went deep in a three-run third inning against Dodgers starter Chris Capuano. The Mariners have hit 20 homers in nine games this spring.
Gutierrez also had a double and drove in four runs.
Capuano retired the first six batters, striking out three. The left-hander then gave up two homers in the third.
Seattle starter Hisashi Iwakuma allowed one run in two innings.
ATHLETICS 6, ROCKIES 3
PHOENIX (AP) -- Josh Reddick hit three-run home run in the third inning, leading the Oakland Athletics to a 6-3 win over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday.
Reddick entered the game with one hit in his first eight at-bats of spring training but broke out of the slump with two hits. Brandon Moss also homered for the A's.
Oakland starter Tommy Milone pitched two scoreless innings in his first start. Milone again figures to be an integral part of the starting rotation after going 13-10 last season and leading the team in innings pitched with 190.
Jhoulys Chacin started for the Rockies and allowed three runs on four hits over 2 1-3 innings in his second start. Last season Chacin was limited to 14 starts because of right shoulder inflammation.
WHITE SOX 4, REDS 0
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Jose Quintana got off to a great start again. He knows from experience there's a long way to go.
Quintana, who started strong and faded late as a rookie last season, pitched three perfect innings for the White Sox in their 4-0 victory over the Reds on Saturday.
Corner infielder Conor Gillaspie hit his second homer of the spring and outfield prospect Jared Mitchell homered and doubled in a run.
Joey Votto doubled for Cincinnati, but Bronson Arroyo gave up five hits and two runs in two innings
The Reds were held to four hits by six White Sox pitchers.
