Bynum reportedly booted from last practice with Cavaliers
The end of the Andrew Bynum era in Cleveland came last month, but only now has an indication of what motivated the Cavaliers to trade the center come to light.
According to a report from Yahoo! Sports, Bynum was kicked out of practice because "he was shooting the ball every time he touched it in a practice scrimmage, sources said -- from whatever remote part of the court he had caught the ball."
Bynum was subsequently traded to Chicago along with draft picks for veteran forward Luol Deng on Jan. 7.
The Yahoo report also contains some unflattering impressions of former general manager Chris Grant and includes praise for acting GM David Griffin from an unnamed Eastern Conference GM who is quoted as saying Griffin "excels at the trade deadline, so he'll have an immediate opportunity to impress" team ownership.
