TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona head coach Niya Butts announced the addition of Calamity McEntire as an assistant coach to the women’s basketball staff.

McEntire comes to Arizona from Boise State, where she served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for four years, specifically handling scouting, assisting with team workouts and coaching the guards.

“We are really excited about adding Coach McEntire to our staff,” Butts said. “She is going to be a big asset to our recruiting and development. It’s always exciting to get someone in who is a hard worker, grinds and gets out there. We are excited to add her to our family and staff and look forward to many years ahead.”

Prior to Boise State, McEntire spent two years at UC Santa Barbara, where she served as Director of Women’s Basketball Operations, and two years as an assistant coach at Fresno State.

McEntire is a 2003 graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she worked as equipment manager for the Lady Vols and majored in sports management.
