MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Bucks center Joel Przybilla has been suspended one game without pay by the league for hitting a referee with a thrown basketball.

The league announced the suspension Sunday, a day after Przybilla was called for a technical foul late in the fourth quarter of Milwaukee's 111-85 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Upset after a foul call on Bucks forward Drew Gooden, Przybilla overhand lobbed the ball at official Jason Phillips. The ball hit Phillips in the right leg while he was reporting the foul to the scorer's table.

Przybilla, 33, has scored a total of two points in just nine games for the Bucks this season; he is averaging 0.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 6.4 minutes per game.
