Brandon Jennings didn't seem like himself Tuesday after the Bucks fell to Phoenix, 107-105.
The young point guard scored just three points and put up just four shots in 29 minutes of play.
Head coach Scott Skiles said that he thought Jennings was "disconnected" but didn't have any further explanation and Jennings himself had little to offer in terms of specifics.
"I mean, I just didn’t have the shots that I usually have," Jennings said. "That’s about it."
Jennings still didn't have much to say Wednesday, when the Bucks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 105-99 victory at Toronto, but looked a little more like the player who had been averaging a team-leading 19.2 points heading into the week, though he still seemed to lack the aggressiveness and tenacity he had been showing for much of the season.
Jennings scored 10 points, shooting 3-of-12 from the field with three rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes.
Skiles didn't have much to say about what is happening with Jennings as of late, but agreed with a reporter's observation that Jennings wasn't playing his usual game.
"I don't know, to be honest with you," Skiles said. "I think that's a fair assessment. It's like that in other areas, too. I just don't know."
Jennings came into the week with the hopes of making his first-ever All-Star team. Granted the votes were submitted Monday, but these last two performances have been disappointing, to say the least. With the team already playing without Andrew Bogut for the foreseeable future, the Bucks need Jennings to carry the load more than ever.
Next up is a trip to Cleveland for a Friday night matchup with the Cavaliers.
