The Ohio State Buckeyes are the unanimous No. 1 team in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, released Monday.
Ohio State, which took over the top spot two weeks ago, received all 65 first-place votes. The Buckeyes got 63 last week, with Pittsburgh and former No. 1 Duke also receiving first-place votes.
The Buckeyes received all 31 first-place votes in the coaches poll for the second straight week.
Seven of the top 10 teams in last week's AP poll lost a game after the rankings were released, including both Pittsburgh and Duke. OSU was able to avoid the madness by following a 22-point blowout of then No. 12 Purdue with a one-point escape at Northwestern last Saturday night.
OSU (22-0, 9-0 in Big Ten play) returns to action vs. Michigan Thursday night.
Kansas, Texas, Pittsburgh and Duke round out the top five in both polls. Texas beat Kansas at Kansas nine days ago.
Xavier, Cincinnati and Cleveland State all received votes in both polls this week but none cracked the Top 25. Cleveland State faces its biggest week of the season this week with home games against Valparaiso and Butler, the only two Horizon opponents to defeat CSU earlier this season.
