TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived reserve running back Mike James, who had not appeared in a game this season.

The third-year pro started three of 20 games he played over the past two seasons with the Bucs, who drafted him in the sixth round in 2013.

The team also announced Tuesday that cornerback Imoan Claiborne was released from the practice squad, replaced by defensive tackle Derrick Lott.
