Bruce Springsteen, college student sing 'No Surrender' in Philly
It was just another night in Philadelphia for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band -- and Matthew Aucoin -- on Friday.
If the last name Aucoin doesn't ring true to any E Street Nation fans it is because he's not in the band. Or, at least he wasn't until the Citizens Bank Park show.
Springsteen fans bring signs hoping The Boss will take them and play the requested song.
Aucoin, a college student, took it one step -- one note? -- further. His sign sought that he play "No Surrender" on stage at the stadium. The chords and correct capo position were on the sign, too.
The Boss welcomed Aucoin on-stage and the pair delivered a strong version of the song from "Born in The U.S.A."
Not that it was enough to have Aucoin on stage, The Boss traded verses with him.
And to make the performance complete, Springsteen waited for Aucoin to return to his spot in the pit, and come back to the stage so they could take a selfie.
Aucoin's Twitter account proudly states he is the person who sang with The Boss. He attends Texas A&M. Wonder if he is a music major?
Thanks @Matthew_Aucoinn for contributing to THE best @springsteen concert I've ever been to. Awesome pic.twitter.com/5Cs04F9xRi
