Browns DE Rubin to miss opener with calf injury

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Browns starting defensive end Ahtyba Rubin will miss the season opener against Miami with a calf injury.
The underrated Rubin, one of Cleveland's top linemen the past five seasons, hurt his calf in practice earlier this week. With Rubin out, second-year end Billy Winn will start at left end against the Dolphins. The Browns have depth on their defensive line, so the loss of Rubin isn't as devastating as in past seasons. Coach Rob Chudzinski said Rubin's calf injury is not related to the one that caused him to miss three games last season.
Also, Browns starting cornerback Buster Skrine will play. He was listed as questionable leading into the game after injuring his shoulder in practice.
The Dolphins did not have any significant inactives. Their only lineup change is Jared Odrick starting at defensive tackle over Randy Starks.
