British Open fans serenade Jordan Spieth with 'The Eyes of Texas'
Jordan Spieth is currently in the hunt for his third straight major win at the British Open in St. Andrews, Scotland heading into the final round Monday.
Spieth finishing Round 3 with 6 under par, just one shot shy of the leaders.
The 21-year-old's stock has certainly been on the rise thanks to a Master's and U.S. Open win this year, but he won't ever be able to forget his roots.
The British Crown broke into "The Eyes of Texas" on the 18th Fairway Saturday, the spirit song of Spieth's alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin.
Clearly Spieth and his caddie enjoyed the tribute to his alma mater. Spieth gave a thumbs up as he was exiting the course (and we're just going to look over the fact that's the Texas A&M hand signal).
It's just like the song says "...The eyes of Texas are upon you, you cannot get away..."
