FOXSports.com NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reports that Marshall will receive $23 million in guaranteed money on what's now a four-year, $40 million contract. The contract will run through the 2017 season.
Marshall arrived in Chicago via a trade with the Miami Dolphins back in 2012. He has been selected for the Pro Bowl during both of his seasons in the Windy City and ranks second in the league in receptions during that time.
His 118 catches in 2012 and 100 in 2013 rank first and second in the Bears' single-season records. What's more, he's the only active player in the league to have recorded 1,000 yards receiving in seven consecutive seasons, with at least 80 catches during each.
