Brad K encourages older brother Brian after disappointing race
After a rough night at the racetrack, is there anything better than getting an encouraging note from a sibling or close friend?
That's what happened late Friday after Brad Keselowski's older brother, Brian -- an ARCA Racing Series crew chief and team owner -- went on Twitter to express his frustration with how Friday night's ARCA race at Iowa Speedway played out for his driver, 24-year-old Matt Kurzejewski.
Kurzejewski started on the outside of the front row and led a career-best 62 laps before a costly 23.4-second pit stop dropped him to seventh in the running order with 50 laps to go. He was later involved in a spin that resulted in a 15th-place finish.
Clearly upset about the result, Brian -- who is two-and-a-half years older than his more well-known sibling -- made no bones about his feelings.
That's when Brad, the 2012 Sprint Cup Series champion and one of NASCAR's biggest stars, offered a kind word.
Racing can be a cruel animal sometimes bro. https://t.co/tt1PokV5MU
