Bobby Bowden throws out first pitch at Tropicana Field
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- "Chop at the Trop" featured a fitting guest to throw out the first pitch.
Former Florida State coach Bobby Bowden, the winningest coach in major college football history, tossed the first throw Sunday at Tropicana Field before the Tampa Bay Rays closed a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels.
It was FSU Day at the ballpark, and as expected, the legendary coach received a fitting reception from Seminoles fans after he connected with Rays outfielder Wil Myers. Not a bad way to remember a proud past.
