Bo Jackson jokes about legendary Tecmo Bowl abilities in hilarious new ad
People of a certain age remember Bo Jackson not only for his incredible multi-sport athletic prowess but because his Tecmo Bowl character was completely and utterly unstoppable. To have the former Los Angeles Raiders running back in the 1989 Nintendo game -- the first video game licensed to use NFL players -- meant you could run through and around an opponent with comical ease.
In a new series of commercials for Kia, Jackson makes light of the most outrageously gifted sports video game character of all time with an 8-bit vehicular version of himself. Former Seahawks linebacker and No. 1 overall pick in 1987, Brian Bosworth, also joined in on the fun (and ostensibly earned some cheddar for his time).
