ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has recalled defenseman Ian Cole from the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.  In addition, defenseman Kris Russell has returned to St. Louis to be evaluated by Dr. Matt Smith after suffering an injury resulting in concussion-like symptoms during the third period of the Blues' 3-2 shootout victory over the Predators last night in Nashville.

Cole, 22, has appeared in 18 games with the Blues this season posting five points (one goal, four assists) while he has also recorded a goal and three assists in 22 games with the Rivermen.  The Ann Arbor, Michigan native was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round, 18th overall, of the 2007 Entry Draft.
