If you were to ask a basketball fan what comes to mind when they think of the Los Angeles Clippers, most of them would say Blake Griffin. Ever since he was drafted by the Clippers in 2009, Griffin has proven himself to be an all-star on and off the court.
Not only did Griffin secure a spot on the NBA All-Star team as a rookie in 2011, he won the Slam Dunk Contest and Rookie of the Year honors that same season. Speaking of slam dunks, each season Blake Griffin donates $100 for every dunk that he makes to his charity, Dunks for Dollars, which supports the fight against childhood obesity. Dunks for Dollars is not the only seasonal tradition for the Clippers standout. Since his rookie season, Griffin has made the All-Star Team a tradition by earning a spot every year since his rookie season.
Griffin's popularity and celebrity status extends off the court. The Clippers star recently appeared on the hit talk show Conan and graced the October cover of GQ Magazine. He has an extremely large fan base with over two and a half million followers on Twitter, where he shares some fun facts about himself to his fans and keeps them up to date on his daily activities.
