Bengals sign three more draft picks
The Bengals today made the following roster moves:
*Signed LB Sean Porter, a fourth-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft. Porter (6-1, 230; Texas A&M) started 39 games over his final three seasons and finished his career with 261 tackles, 14.5 sacks and 34.5 tackles-for-loss.
*Signed HB Rex Burkhead, a sixth-round draft selection. Burkhead (5-10, 214; Nebraska) was limited to eight games by an injury as a senior, but he averaged 6.9 yards per rush, and he closed his career ranked fifth on Nebraska’s all-time rushing list with 3329 yards.
*Signed DT Terrence Stephens as a college free agent. Stephens (6-1, 307; Stanford) participated as a tryout player in this past weekend’s rookie and first-year player minicamp.
*Waived rookie DT Travis Chappelear of Northwest Missouri State. Chappelear had joined the Bengals April 30 as a college free agent.
The Bengals have now signed five of their 10 selections from the 2013 draft. Signed previously were WR Cobi Hamilton of Arkansas (sixth round), OT Reid Fragel of Ohio State (seventh round) and C T.J. Johnson of South Carolina (seventh round).
