Badgers win first game under Granato, 6-5 over Northern Michigan

Wisconsin scored four power-play goals, including the game winner by Trent Frederic, as the Badgers defeated Northern Michigan 6-5 for their first win under coach Tony Granato.

Senior defenseman Corbin McGuire had his first career two-goal game, and Luke Kunin, Will Johnson and Seamus Malone also scored goals for the Badgers (1-1).

Wisconsin was 4 for 8 on the power play, helping it win a game that featured six lead changes. The team allowed two short-handed goals.

The Badgers will host Boston College next Friday and Sunday at the Kohl Center.
