Badgers hockey ties Denver

Visiting Wisconsin skated to a 1-all overtime tie Friday night, at Denver.

The Badgers got a goal from star Michael Mersch early in the third period for the game's first score. Alas, host Denver knotted the game at the 18:44 mark of the third when Joey LaLeggia lit the lamp, sending the game into overtime.

Wisconsin, now 1-7-3 on the season, was led by netminder Joel Rumpel's 30 saves. Highly regarded Denver (9-3-1) was led on the stat sheet by goalie Juho Olkinuora's 32 total saves.

The Badgers registered 33 total shots on goal on the evening.
