Bad weather postpones Brewers-Cubs game

Wednesday night's game between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Chicago Cubs has been postponed due to rain and sub-freezing wind chills.

The announcement came from Cubs officials four hours before first pitch, as wind chills are expected to be around 28 degrees with an 80 to 90 percent chance of rain during Wednesday's game.

Wednesday's game will be made up on Tuesday, July 30 at 1:20 p.m. as part of a day-night doubleheader at Wrigley Field. The originally scheduled game will be played at 7:05 p.m.

The Brewers will now have two days off before opening a three-game series Friday night in St. Louis. Yovani Gallardo was the probable starter in the series opener, but he will be pushed back to Saturday. Kyle Lohse, who was scheduled to start Wednesday, will start against his former team Friday.

Gallardo and Marco Estrada will work Saturday and Sunday on six days rest, but Wily Peralta will have a full week off in between starts, as Monday is a scheduled off day.

With the Brewers taking the night off, the Milwaukee Bucks-Orlando Magic game will move to FOX Sports Wisconsin's main channel. That broadcast will begin at 5:30 p.m. with "Bucks Live." DirecTV subscribers will still need to see the Bucks on the FOX Sports Wisconsin Alternate channel (658).
