Awkward photo of the day: 'Jacare' & Werdum crash Weidman's breakfast
UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman was in his native New York this morning to be a part of the Reebok Fight Kit fashion show unveiling but before he hit the runway, he just wanted to grab some relaxing breakfast. Unfortunately, "The All-American" was joined by a middleweight contender -- Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza (middle) -- who wants to take him out in the near future.
What's more, Souza had backup in the form of fellow Brazilian and new heavyweight world champion Fabricio Werdum (right). Weidman put photographic documentation of the awkward situation up on his official Facebook page.
"That awkward moment when Jacare come & sits next to you at breakfast & has Fabricio Werdum w/ him for backup:)," he wrote.
Luckily, that was the last of the awkwardness for the day, and at least it was nowhere near as awkward as Chris' first date with his now wife. Weidman faces a more dangerous head-to-head in the near future against number one contender Luke Rockhold, of course.
And, Fabricio Werdum is healing up after his UFC 188 win over Cain Velasquez, but is looking forward to a wanted title defense rematch against Andrei Arlovski.
