Per the Asbury Park Press:
"The Chevy is up for sale now and the purchase will include the original vehicle registration, a temporary insurance card, the Allstate insurance card issued in Springsteen’s name and address and an 80 page book, “Out in the Street: Bruce Springsteen’s 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible.” The car was featured at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Annex in New York City from 2008 to 2010 and it was also at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland."
"The car stood out and as Springsteen was on the covers of Time and Newsweek later that year and pics of the car were in both magazines. He sold it in ‘76 because it was drawing too much attention to him, according to reports. He then bought a '60 Corvette from a clerk at a Long Branch Carvel, Springsteen wrote in his autobiography, "Born to Run."
