Brittany Boyd had 19 points, a school-record-tying 10 steals, six assists and six rebounds as California rallied from a six-minute second-half drought to beat Arizona State 67-62 on Saturday in Pac-12 play.

The Golden Bears (17-6, 8-3 Pac-12) overcame a stretch of six minutes and six seconds during which they missed 10 straight shots to keep sole possession of second place, three games back of No. 4 Stanford.

Kali Bennett had 13 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots for the Sun Devils (15-7, 6-5), who have lost two in a row after winning five straight.

Layshia Clarendon added 16 points and Reshanda Gray had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Golden Bears, who have won eight of their last nine, the only loss coming at Stanford last week.

With California holding on to a 64-61 lead with 20 seconds remaining, Boyd stole the ball from Arizona State's Deja Mann with 11 seconds left and made a layup to secure the win. The freshman came into the game with 50 steals in 22 games, fifth-best in the Pac-12. The 10 steals tied a school-record set twice.

California outrebounded Arizona State 42-27 to help overcome 35 percent shooting in the second half.

Mann had 11 points and Alex Earl 10 points for the Sun Devils.

Gray quickly scored two baskets in the first two minutes of the second half to get California a 39-32 lead but Arizona State ran off nine straight points after the Golden Bears missed 10 consecutive shots to give the Sun Devils a 44-41 lead with 12:06 left.

The Sun Devils went on a 11-2 run to erase an early deficit and led 21-16 with 8:51 left after the second of two Earl 3-pointers. Boyd scored 11 points and had three steals to lead California to a 35-32 lead at the break. Bennett had nine points, three assists and two blocked shots for Arizona State. Earl had eight on 3-4 shooting, including 2-3 from beyond the arc.
