SEATTLE -- The rubber match in the Pac-12 Conference opening softball series between Arizona State and Washington was canceled due to a deluge that overtook the Seattle area.

The Devils (20-9, 1-1 Pac-12) fell 8-7 to the Huskies (26-5, 1-1 Pac-12) on Friday night in a 13-inning marathon, then bounced back for a 9-7 win on Saturday.
The Devils will return home next weekend for it Pac-12 home opener against the No. 11 California Golden Bears beginning Friday at 5 p.m.
