ASU sends 8 to NCAA Indoor track championship

Arizona State will send eight athletes to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Nampa, Idaho, on Friday and Saturday, March 8-9.

The seventh-ranked ASU men's team qualified six athletes, and the women's team qualified two.

For the men's team, senior Chris Benard ranks third in the triple jump, sophomore Bryan McBride ranks third in the high jump, sophomore Ryan Milus is fourth in the 60 meters, Jordan Clarke is eighth in the shot put, Mason McHenry is eighth in the 800 meters and Nick Happe holds the school indoor mile record with a time of 3:58.73.

The women's team qualified sophomore Anna Jelmini in the shot put and Christbel Nettey in the long jump.
