Arizona United snaps three-match losing streak with draw

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Arizona United Soccer Club midfielder Jonathan Top scored his second goal in two games as the club played the Tulsa Roughnecks to a 1-1 draw Saturday night in front of 2,858 fans at Scottsdale Stadium.

Top's goal game in the 19th minute when Arizona midfielder Jose "Chiva" Cuevas blasted a shot from near the top of the 18-yard penalty box that was initially saved by Tulsa goalkeeper Zac Lubin. He couldn't hold on to the ball and Top collected the rebound and scored the easy goal.

Tulsa tied the game in the 90th minute when midfielder Gibson Bardsley beat the final Arizona United SC defender and ran along the goal line from the left side of the field and drove his shot past Arizona goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski. The draw is Arizona's first tie on the season and the team moves to 3-3-1 on the season.
