AP Pro32: Cardinals 6th

BY foxsports • September 25, 2012

NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments from the AP Pro32 panel on the Arizona Cardinals, who moved up to sixth in this week's rankings (ranking in parentheses):

ARIZONA CARDINALS (6)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 5) -- Beat teams who are 5-1 otherwise.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 7) -- With this ferocious defense, the Cardinals are a threat to win NFC West.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 4) -- Comment currently unavailable

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 7) -- No surprise defense is playing so well but how about Kevin Kolb ... Wow!

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 9) -- Cardinals are officially the surprise team of the season. A week after their shocking upset win in New England, Kevin Kolb clobbers his old Eagles team at home. Not such a bad trade after all, eh?

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 5) -- The NFL schedule-maker gave the Cardinals home dates in three of their first four games. Thus far Arizona has taken full advantage with a 3-0 start.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 3) -- People keep asking if these guys are for real. Please. They won 10 of last 12 and just stuffed New England in New England and Philadelphia at home. Suddenly, the NFC West is must-see football.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 5) -- Raising Arizona by allowing only two TDs during stunning 3-0 start.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 4) -- They are undefeated with a win in New England and a defense that doesn't quit.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 5) -- Two statement games in a row beating the Patriots on the road and the Eagles at home has the Cardinals undefeated at 3-0. Prior to the season, I said this team would sky rocket up the rankings with just consistent QB play. They are getting it from Kevin Kolb.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 6) -- Thanks to a fierce defense and relatively light schedule the next four weeks, these Cardinals may continue soaring to a 7-0 record before facing San Francisco at home on October 29.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 1) -- It's hard to believe they are the best in football, but they have beaten more good teams and answered more challenges than any other team.
