AP preseason Top 25 poll: Florida 10th, FSU 11th
The media feels much the same as the coaches when it comes to the preseason college football rankings.
Florida is ranked No. 10 in the AP preseason poll, with Florida State just a spot behind at No. 11.
Miami was not ranked in the top 25 but did receive some votes and had 85 points. No. 25 Oregon State had 129 points.
Alabama was a landslide No. 1, receiving 58 first-place votes. The Crimson Tide were followed by Ohio State (one first-place vote), Oregon, Stanford and Georgia (one first-place vote).
The Southeastern conference placed five teams in the top 10 - No. 1 Alabama, No. 5 Georgia, No. 6 South Carolina, No. 7 Texas A&M and No. 10 Florida.
The Atlantic Coast Conference had just two teams in the top 25 - No. 8 Clemson and No. 11 Florida State.
In the USA Today Sports preseason coaches' poll, Florida was ranked 10th and Florida State 12th. Miami was not ranked.
The top five teams in the coaches' poll were Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford and Georgia.
