AL All-Star Game voting update: Mike Trout takes over top spot in outfield

The people have spoken (and voted) ... Mike Trout is the best outfielder in the American League.
In the latest American League All-Star voting update released on Monday afternoon, the Angels star has taken the top spot from the Royals' Lorenzo Cain with 9,148,142 total votes.
The Tigers' Miguel Cabrera also moved to the No. 1 spot in his position, first base, which was formally occupied by the Royals' Eric Hosmer.

Albert Pujols remains in fifth place among first basemen with 1,375,167 votes.
Trout and Pujols remain the only Angels currently in contention for July 17's All-Star Game on FOX.
