Aaron Rodgers has explanation for Lions' 24-game losing streak at Lambeau Field

When the Lions play the Packers in Green Bay, they lose. All the time.

Detroit has lost 24 straight games at Lambeau Field.

Since Aaron Rodgers has been a big part of the Packers' success in recent years, he was asked about the significance of the streak during his conference call with the media on Wednesday.

"It's just kind of fell our way the last 20 times or whatever, but it's always been very competitive," he said.

The media couldn't help but chuckle at Rodgers' theory, which forced the quarterback to offer a mild scolding.

"Come on now," he said. "Keep it together. Keep it professional."

In fairness, Rodgers' full quote, when asked why the streak doesn’t weigh on the Lions or provide an advantage for the Packers, was:

"That’s a good question. But I don’t really think it does because there are probably some guys on both teams who weren’t born when that streak began. I’ve been a part of a lot of the games. There have been some close ones over the years, some battles. It’s just kind of fell our way the last 20 times or whatever but it’s always been very competitive.”

The streak has a chance to extend to 25 games when the Lions play the Packers this Sunday.
