A ROBOT’S VIEW: NOT SO HAPPY NEW YEAR!

When it comes to New Year's, you are celebrating one of two things: Either you had a terrible year and are celebrating a fresh start or you had a great year and are celebrating all that went great for you.  And none of that could be more true than for NFL head coaches.  NFL owners dropped the hammer this year making Donald Trump's heart warm heading into 2013.  Some coaches deserved to get fired. Some should have been fired and some should have a job for the next decade.  Where does your team's skipper stand?  You should start by looking at who's under center. GONZO AZ - Ken Whisenhunt:  It's been three years since that last Super Bowl, who would ever think you'd miss Kurt Warner that much? BUF - Chan Gailey: I think this one is a mistake. General manager hyped this team up, defense let them down. CHI - Lovie Smith: You play in a tough league when you go 10-6 and lose your job.  Can't start that hot and not make the playoffs, right Whisenhunt? CLE- Pat Shumur: Come on, man. It's the Browns. KC- Romeo Crennel: After the year he went through, who wouldn't want out? PHI - Andy Reid: He had a great run and has landed in Kansas City. SD- Norv Turner: Finally Chargers fans get what they want. SAFE...FOR NOW ATL - MIke Smith: 56-24 in five years? Doesn't hurt to have Matty Ice either.  Better step up in the postseason. BAL - John Harbaugh: Hi9s 54-26 record is pretty similar to Smith but he inherited a great defense. HOU - Gary Kubiak: This team is built to win, so he's doing just fine. IND - Chuck Pagano: He is safe. MIA - Joe Philbin: Not the best member of Hard Knocks, but he won seven games with not much talent. MIN - Leslie Frazier: I hope Frazier got AP something really nice for Christmas. OAK - Dennis Allen: Have you ever understood what they do in Oak-Town? SEA- Pete Carroll: Two words: 12TH MAN! STL - Jeff Fisher: Did anyone expect them to win seven games? Plus who wants to tell Jeff he's fired? He's mean. TB - Greg Schiano: Outside of trying to disrupt the Giants from kneeling out the opening game, he had a nice first year. TEN - Mike Munchak: They never fire anyone in Tennessee. WAS - Mike Shanahan: No, he's not untouchable even if his owner thinks so! HOW ARE THEY NOT FIRED? DET - Jim Schwartz: I would have fired him the day after he tried to fight Jim Harbaugh. NYJ - Rex Ryan: Yeah his GM was horrible. But for all the talk, someone needs to hold him accountable! MAYBE SOMEDAY? CIN- Marvin Lewis: In 10 years he's had four winning seasons, and 328 player arrests. They're in the playoffs but he should have been gone a while ago. UNTOUCHABLE DEN - John  Fox: He's barely on this list and he can thank Peyton for that. GB- Mike McCarthy: The guy is a playoff machine. NE- Bill Bellichick: One losing season in 13 years, three Super Bowls and one Tom Brady. NO- Sean Payton: The only guy to get suspended for a year and get the largest contract for any coach! Well done sir! PIT- Mike Tomlin: A class act, never had a losing season and a loyal owner, good mix. Oh and a top QB!: SF- Jim harbaugh: Eight straight losing seasons before Harbaugh. He's safe until he's ready to leave. STILL WAITING CAR -  Ron Rivera: You don't get Cam Newton's every day.  The clock is ticking. JAC - Mike Mularkey: No MJD, no real QB and a weak D? Give him one more year. DAL - Jason Garrett: .500 doesn't cut it in the "D" but neither does an owner/GM. They both should go! WHO KNOWS? NYG - Tom Coughlin: Isn't he supposed to be fired every year?
