The Braves are now at the halfway point in the season.

What a topsy-turvy first half it has been.

There was a lot of panic on the morning of April 30. The Braves had lost nine in a row. Some wondered if this team was not as good as many believed it was in spring training.

But what a turnaround we have seen since that last day in April.

The Braves won that night, beating Houston 4-2 to snap the losing streak. And then in May the Braves went 20-8, moving into first place on the last day of the month with a win over the Phillies.

They have been there ever since.

Atlanta is now at 48-33 on the season, which the best record in the National League. So they have gone 40-19 since the nine-game losing streak.
